Welcome to the website of the London Meteors and the London Mets and welcome to the 2008 season!
Founded in 1988, the London Meteors are one of the oldest and most successful Softball Clubs in London. We play at Finsbury Park in North London and share the park with the London Mets Youth Baseball Club, one of the country’s most successful baseball clubs, with the biggest youth programme in the UK.
We have our own facility in Finsbury Park on the corner of Green Lanes and Endymion Road (nearest tube Manor House). We lease this ground from Haringey Council. The field has two softball diamonds and two baseball diamonds (one for youth players and one for seniors). The field is in a constant state of improvement, with new facilities added year-on-year. In 2007 the backstop on the main softball diamond was completely refurbished.
Both softball and baseball clubs are looking for players at all levels - from experienced players to people with some degree of skill and experience or inexperienced people with good potential. We are also looking for commitment - players who are able to play in all, or at least most, of the League games, as well as some tournaments.
