PLAYBALL

Playball is for players aged 7–9

The London Mets Youth Baseball Club train and play at Finsbury Park, North London, where we have our clubhouse and two diamonds. The club has organised training and league games for young people in the park since 1995 and has rapidly expanded in the past few years due to the popularity of our programme.

We are always looking for new players, of any level of experience – boys and girls from beginner to international. All equipment is provided. The London Mets have two travelling teams that play in the Southern division of the BBF National Youth Baseball League.

We have built a friendly and positive atmosphere at the club, with an emphasis on fun and good sportsmanship, development of skills and encouragement for all players to try their best at every level.

We have strong links with the Great Britain Baseball Academy and many of our players have played in the GB national team. Youth leagues start in the first week of May and run through to September. Games are played on Saturdays, uniforms are provided. All of our coaches are qualified and registered with BSUK. The club is run by volunteers and funded by donations and small grants.
