Meteors 1 is our competitive adult mixed-sex slowpitch team. Mid-week, we play in the Greater London Softball Mixed League Division 1, and have won that league 13 times. We try very hard to have a squad large enough to ensure we can put put a strong team at all 14 of our fixtures, wherever in London that may be, so new players are always welcome.
We generally look for people that have had a reasonable amount of experience playing either slow or fast pitch softball (fastpitch players can easily adapt!). Girls are always in particular demand, so we’d urge any women reading this to give us a shout.
The games we play tend to be fairly competitive, and as a team we certainly play to win, although have fun doing that. The tournaments we play in are of a very high standard, so anyone looking to play competitively will not be disappointed.
New players are always made to feel welcome. If you miss our early season try outs, we’re always happy for you to speak to us and come down to a mid-week game where you can check out the standard of play.
