Co–ed softball is a versatile game, with five males and five females per team. It’s a hitting game so the emphasis is not on striking the batters out (which is normal for fastpitch and baseball). Although co–ed slowpitch can be very competitive at the highest grade, there is a strong social element, which combined with it’s all–action style, makes it the most popular form of softball in the UK.

The London Meteors have three teams competing in the GLSML and we also play in tournaments in the UK and abroad. The league season starts in early May and runs for approximately fifteen weeks. There is one league game per week. Home games are at Finsbury Park and away games are all easily reached by public transport.

Our season fees currently stand at £80, which are paid in advance. This covers affiliation fees to the London Softballl Federation (LSF) and British Softball Federation (BSF), third party insurance cover, pitch hire, match equipment and administration costs. Tournament costs are additional but London tournaments are generally around £20 for the weekend. New players will have to buy a club shirt (£20). Club caps are also available (£10) but they are not compulsory.

We are in the off-season at the moment and spring training will start again in March. If you are interested in playing softball for one of our teams next season, give us a shout using the Contact Us link.
